Almighty God, you wonderfully created and yet more wonderfully restored the dignity of human nature.  In your mercy, let us share the divine life of Jesus Christ who came down to share our humanity, and who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

GOOD NEWS, TRUE NEWS, RIGHTEOUS NEWS…

God knows that I do my own thing… I pray that my doings are lined up with His word… That is the challenge of being a Christian… Let me explain… I LOVE CHALLENGES…

I know, I will never be perfect on earth; BUT, I do know that God is with us at all times… Even when we seem all alone… This reassurance of God’s presence brings forth a feeling of peace (Isaiah 9:6) to me.. I know that having this confidence makes us, as Christians, particularly strong in faith.  When we do works that are lined up with His word, it strengthens our faith…

We will most definitely fall short in some people’s eyes; HOWEVER, this fall (failure) should not stop us from trying and praying… Christians will always fall short of perfection; HOWEVER, the Holy Spirit (Jesus knew) creates an atmosphere for us to try to achieve perfection (like Jesus Christ)…

GOD HELP ME… 🙂

Take Up the Cross and Follow Him

Christ Born of Mary

2 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. ² This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. ³ So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.

⁴ Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, ⁵ to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. ⁶ So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. ⁷ And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Glory in the Highest

⁸ Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. ⁹ And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. ¹⁰ Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. ¹¹ For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. ¹² And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

Let me point out something that jumped out at me… THE ANGEL SAID “goodwill toward men”… (Luke 2:14)

WHAT KIND OF EVIL BELIEVES THAT KILLING OTHER HUMAN BEINGS (RUNNING OVER THEM WITH A TRUCK) BRINGS FORTH A GREATER REWARD IN THE AFTERLIFE???

I was reading the Holy Gospel this morning… The Holy Gospel is a group of books written in the New Testament of our Holy Bible by Jesus’s disciples… THEY WERE BLESSED TO BE WITH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WHEN HE WAS IN HUMAN FORM ON EARTH… I would like to share what I was reading… (it was a teaching by our Lord Jesus Christ) May I share???

Matthew 10:24-33

²⁴ “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.²⁵ It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household!²⁶ Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.

Jesus Teaches the Fear of God

²⁷ “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. ²⁸ And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? Almighty God, you once called John the Baptist to give witness to the coming of your Son and to prepare his way.  Grant us, your people, the wisdom to see your purpose today and the openness to hear your will, that we may witness to Christ’s coming and so prepare his way; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

PERPLEXED??? (nope… keep’n it simple)

i am reading Sunday in church… I really would love to see new encouraging faces during our service honoring God.  If you can not make it please check this post throughout the Week of the Third Sunday in Advent.  I will be adding these readings/lessons and personal testimonies for you.

If you have never attended a Lutheran Service before, LET ME HELP YOU… The service intended to honor God is very structured… I was fumbling around the pamphlet the first time I attended a service; however, I KEPT GOING…

As I said before, I am reading on Sunday… This entails a lesson from the Old Testament (before the birth, life, death, & RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ), followed by a PSALM musically sung by a choir, followed by a lesson from the New Testament (after the birth, life, death, & RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ)… I will then ask the congregation to pray with me after the reading of the Holy Gospel by the pastor.  The Holy Gospels are books found in the New Testament of our Holy Bible.  They are written by Jesus’s Disciples… yes… they had the honor of spending time with Jesus Christ while He was in human form on earth… and yes, Jesus Christ had the same number of Disciples (Matthew 11) as Jacob was blessed with tribes of Israel (Old Testament)… 12… (Genesis 49)

ANYWAY…

Matthew 11:2-11

This morning, I started my day going by way driving from Bainbridge, PA to Hershey, PA… It was raining when I left… I listen to 97.3 in the morning when I drive… In the middle of my trip the Beatles song “Here comes the Sun” came on the radio… at that instant it stopped raining and the sun came out…

Almighty God, you once called John the Baptist to give witness to the coming of your Son and to prepare his way.  Grant us, your people, the wisdom to see your purpose today and the openness to hear your will, that we may witness to Christ’s coming and so prepare his way; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

PERPLEXED??? (nope… keep’n it simple)

i am reading Sunday in church… I really would love to see new encouraging faces during our service honoring God.  If you can not make it please check this post throughout the Week of the Third Sunday in Advent.  I will be adding these readings/lessons and personal testimonies for you.

If you have never attended a Lutheran Service before, LET ME HELP YOU… The service intended to honor God is very structured… I was fumbling around the pamphlet the first time I attended a service; however, I KEPT GOING…

As I said before, I am reading on Sunday… This entails a lesson from the Old Testament (before the birth, life, death, & RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ), followed by a PSALM musically sung by a choir, followed by a lesson from the New Testament (after the birth, life, death, & RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ)… I will then ask the congregation to pray with me after the reading of the Holy Gospel by the pastor.  The Holy Gospels are books found in the New Testament of our Holy Bible.  They are written by Jesus’s Disciples… yes… they had the honor of spending time with Jesus Christ while He was in human form on earth… and yes, Jesus Christ had the same number of Disciples (Matthew 11) as Jacob was blessed with tribes of Israel (Old Testament)… 12… (Genesis 49)

ANYWAY… 

PERPLEXED??? (nope… keep’n it simple)

I want to share with you a lesson from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ written in the New Testament of our Holy Bible… IT READS…

Matthew 11:2-11

² And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples ³ and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”

⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: ⁵ The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. ⁶ And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

⁷ As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? ⁸ But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.⁹ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is he of whom it is written:

‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.’

¹¹ “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

AWESOME… just AWESOME…

JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD… (John 3:16)

Jesus, when He was in human form, showed us that great leaders do good works and lead by example rather than stating one’s authority over another… GRACEFUL… HUH?

AWESOME!!! This morning, I started my day going by way driving from Bainbridge, PA to Hershey, PA… It was raining when I left… I listen to 97.3 in the morning when I drive… In the middle of my trip the Beatles song “Here comes the Sun” came on the radio… at that instant it stopped raining and the sun came out…

THANK YOU GOD FOR TODAY!!!

Too funny… Last night I found out that our President-Elect is coming to Hershey, PA next Thursday… I can not attend his “THANK YOU” tour due to work, so I sent him this “TWEET”…

Stir up our hearts, O Lord, to prepare the way for your only Son.  By his coming give us the strength in our conflicts and shed light on our path through the darkness of this world; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Another week has gone and passed.  We are witnessing an extraordinary chain of events… From Fidel Castro’s death, to a suggested recount of votes in the election of a political leader, to an attack by evil at Ohio State University…It appears that this world is hopeless… However, I might disagree

THIS IS WHAT MY PASTOR TAUGHT US LAST WEEK AT CHURCH… We have hope… One doesn’t have to live in depression or have a negative state of mind… you know why???

We have won!!! Our belief in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead should bring a joyous shout from all of us… This hope in eternal life brings a smile to my face… IT’s AWESOME!

I want to share with you a group of verses written in our Holy Bible that I was reading at 6 this morning… 6 AM… Didn’t I work till 11 last night???

ANYWAY… IT IS WRITTEN…

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

Institution of the Lord’s Supper

²³ For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;²⁴ and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”²⁵ In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

²⁶ For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

Our brother Paul had an AWESOME way of writing testimonies down and turning that testimony into a story in which God’s beloved children could understand…

The Lord’s super was also written about in the Holy Gospels by witnesses… May you tell me where???

WHEN I ASK QUESTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT MISINTERPRET THAT IGNORANCE AS DISRESPECT… God knows I love being called impertinent.

I simply, do not know…

I think that is an AWESOME revelation… To know that I don’t know… The other scriptures, I was reading this morning, is written in the book of Genesis.  This gave me wisdom to share with you that I DO KNOW.

*I have heard some Christians make the comparison of Melchizedek to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

To me, this makes my head hurt… I just know Jesus Christ is Lord.

THAT IS THE TIME TO PRAISE GOD… I really feel tired… however, I am going to share with you verses from the book of revelation written by John in the New Testament of our Holy Bible… (I LOVE READING)

Revelation 21:2-4

² Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. ⁴ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
