Almighty and ever-living God, you have given great and precious promises to those who believe.  Grant us the perfect faith which overcomes all doubts, through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

KEEP RUNNING… (i will)

Keep running

I want to begin this post by Thanking God…

THANK YOU GOD!!!

For this week, I want to share with you the Holy Gospel written in the book of John in the New Testament of our Holy Bible… IT READS…

John 6:51-58

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?”

53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed,[a] and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

THE MESSIAH ROCKS!!!

(Remember that Jesus’s “words” are colored red in most Bibles)

I am about to go on my way to the Gym, however…

MAY I ALSO SHARE A PASSAGE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF PROVERBS WITH YOU?

BTWTHIS IS HOW, I BEGAN MY WALK WITH CHRIST (reading the book of proverbs)…

“Now, I am running with Him” 🙂

Proverbs 9:1-6

The Way of Wisdom

Wisdom has built her house,
She has hewn out her seven pillars;
She has slaughtered her meat,
She has mixed her wine,
She has also furnished her table.
She has sent out her maidens,
She cries out from the highest places of the city,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
“Come, eat of my bread
And drink of the wine I have mixed.
Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.

19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

STRONG IN THE NAME OF THE LORD… *push*

Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we are to pray, and to give more than we either desire or deserve.  Pour upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us the things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things of which we are not worthy to ask, except through the merit of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 6:41-51

Rejected by His Own

41 The Jews then complained about Him, because He said, “I am the bread which came down from heaven.” 42 And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

43 Jesus therefore answered and said to them, “Do not murmur among yourselves. 44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’[a] Therefore everyone who has heard and learned[b] from the Father comes to Me. 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father. 47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me[c] has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

1 Kings 19:4-8

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”

Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel[a]touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.” Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. And the angel[b] of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.

SPEECH #3                          SPEECH COMPETITION                 “FEAR”

My fellow Toastmasters and guests, thank you for being so encouraging and inviting. I want to speak on fear… Hopefully, you do not suffer from Phobophobia or the Fear of Fear… and you will find much comfort from my speech…

Fear is an awesome topic… Who isn’t afraid of anything??? If you, think that is you I challenge you to listen to the following phobias from I gathered from a list I came up with from searching various Lists on the internet.

Americophobia… Fear of American people and things… Right now, if you were Kim Jong-Un of North Korea you might have this phobia (Can you tell MSN News is my homepage for the internet???) smh… Nukes are on my mind and this is my first topical phobia.

Pogonophobia – Fear of growing a beard… What woman is not afraid of growing a beard??? I prefer women with smooth none hairy skin. I’ll grow my own damn beard if I want hairs in my mouth when I kiss my spouse.

Ablutophobia – Fear of being an adult… If you have ablutophobia then you had better go grab some deodorant because you are probably too scared to take a bath or clean yourself.

Nomophobia – Short for no-mobile-phone phobia, this is the constant fear of not having service and according to researchers in the UK a whopping 50% of people have it. Third world…we apologize.

(TOUCH SOMEONE)… I want to see if you have Haphephobia… Haphephobia is the fear of being touched.

I want to point out (no pun attended) that most PHOBIAs result from some long forgotten traumatic experience. That brings me to Xlyophobia.  I do have Xlyophobia… It’s the fear of wooden objects… Upon many many sleepless nights in my old wooden bed… I concluded that I have this Fear because my mom used to spank me with a wooden spoon when I was bad…

Glossophobia – The fear of public speaking. Not being able to do speeches… Nope… smh… punching the air… none hear… get that monkey off of my back…

Good thing I do not suffer from pinaciphobia or I wouldn’t share this awesome list of phobias with you… pinaciphobia is the fear of lists.

Metallophobia… I LIKE MY METALLICA AND GUNS’N’ROSES… Can you guess that fear this is the fear of metal???

I was not going to admit another fear of mine; however, since the timer did not flash the green light yet, I guess I am gonna have to share it to waste some time… LOGOPHOBIA… especially pronouncing them… BY THE WAY… LOGOPHOBIA = THE FEAR OF WORDS… AWESOME! My time is up! Thank you all for helping me conquer my Logophobia… 🙂

I THOUGHT, I WAS FUNNY…

I want to share with you verses written by Peter (one of Jesus’s disciples)

2 Peter 1:16-21

The Trustworthy Prophetic Word

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,[a] which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,[b] 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God[c] spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

I want to start this post off to a good start.  WHAT BETTER WAY THAN TO SHARE WITH YOU A TEACHING FROM OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST???

John 6:24-35

24 when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. 25 And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?”

26 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. 27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”

28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

30 Therefore they said to Him, “What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do? 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”[a]

32 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”

35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

I also want to share with you, what I was READING this morning…

Psalm 78:23-29

23 Yet He had commanded the clouds above,
And opened the doors of heaven,
24 Had rained down manna on them to eat,
And given them of the bread of heaven.
25 Men ate angels’ food;
He sent them food to the full.

26 He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens;
And by His power He brought in the south wind.
27 He also rained meat on them like the dust,
Feathered fowl like the sand of the seas;
28 And He let them fall in the midst of their camp,
All around their dwellings.
29 So they ate and were well filled,
For He gave them their own desire.

Let me Remind you of Jesus’s teaching from before… IT WILL MAKE YOU SMILE!

8/19/2017

Like every morning, I was reading my bible… I WAS READING MY BIBLE AND TRYING TO ELIMINATE MY “UM”s on my youtube channel

ANYWAY… Here is what I was reading written in the old testament…

Isaiah 56:1-5

56 Thus says the Lord:

“Keep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.
Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Do not let the son of the foreigner
Who has joined himself to the Lord
Speak, saying,
“The Lord has utterly separated me from His people”;
Nor let the eunuch say,
“Here I am, a dry tree.”
For thus says the Lord:
“To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths,
And choose what pleases Me,
And hold fast My covenant,
Even to them I will give in My house
And within My walls a place and a name
Better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them[a] an everlasting name
That shall not be cut off.

For He gave them their own desire.

Let me Remind you of Jesus’s teaching from before… IT WILL MAKE YOU SMILE!

LOVE’n THAT REPETITION…

Tenth Sunday After Pentecost… 8/13/2017 *push*

Keep on Reading, Serving, Sharing, Knowing… *push*

O God, your ears are open always to the prayers of your servants.  Open our hearts and minds to you, that we may live in harmony with your will and receive the gifts of your spirit; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Keep on Reading, Serving, Sharing, Knowing…

(Romans 9:1-5)

We all should know in our hearts that God loves us…  I, honestly, know this… This has given me a strength to get over my “earthly shortcomings” and have a renewed confidence to share with you God’s Word… THE BEST, I KNOW HOW…  For this week’s lesson, we again are taught of Jesus Christ feeding the five thousand… (last week, I shared with you the story of the feeding of the 5000 written in the book of Mark) This week, I want to share it with you how it is written in the book of John.

(Please read till the end… I added a lot of scriptures and personal testimonies for this Tenth Sunday After Pentecost… THANK YOU!!!)

John 6:1-15

Feeding the Five Thousand

After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased. And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat with His disciples.

Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.

Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.”

One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”

10 Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples[a] to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” 13 Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. 14 Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

15 Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone…

Redemption in Christ

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT APOLLO 11 THIS MORNING…

“One of the smaller details lost amidst the tremendous historic and scientific achievements of the Apollo 11 mission that landed the first two human beings on the moon in July 1969 was that it also marked the first occasion on which a Christian took the sacrament of Communion on an astronomical body other than Earth. This event took place in the interval between the lunar module’s landing on the moon on 20 July 1969 and Neil Armstrong’s taking his first steps on the lunar surface several hours later; during that period, astronaut Buzz Aldrin privately observed Communion using elements he had brought with him to the moon.”

I AM GREETING AT MY CHURCH TOMORROW… However, may I share with you what I was reading today???

1 Kings 18:41-46

The Drought Ends

41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” 42 So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, 43 and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.”

So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.”

44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”

45 Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. 46 Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Ninth Sunday After Pentecost… 8/6/2017 *push*

EAT THOSE VEGETABLES… *push*

Pour out upon us, O Lord, the spirit to think and do what is right, that we, who cannot even exist without you, may have the strength to live according to your will; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

EAT THOSE VEGETABLES…*push*

(Please read till the end… I added a lot of scriptures and personal testimonies for this Ninth Sunday After Pentecost… THANK YOU!!!)

As a child, I have a distinct memory of my Mom force feeding sweet peas to me… They used to make me gag… NOT ANYMORE… I HAD SWEET PEAS ON MY SALAD FOR LUNCH… I LOVED IT…

fear of vegetables

Although at first I rejected this food that I thought was wrong for me… Later… I discovered, I liked the benefits that eating sweet peas gave me.

  1. Peas are free of cholesterol and low in fat and sodium. They feed your muscles and brain.
  2. A cup of cooked green peas has 3.6 milligrams of lutein, an antioxidant nutrient that helps keep the cells in your eyes healthy. (Prevents vision loss as you age)
  3. Peas benefit your immune system with antioxidant vitamins, especially if you eat them raw.
  4. A cup of cooked or raw peas provides nearly 2 milligrams of zinc, an antioxidant mineral that promotes wound healing.

Eating my vegetables seems to be right…

Do you know what accompanies vegetables extremely well???

It is also considered very healthy for you…(FISH)…

Can I share with you a story that comes to mind when I think of fish???

Mark 6:30-34

Feeding the Five Thousand

30 Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. 31 And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. 32 So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves.

33 But the multitudes[a] saw them departing, and many knew Him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to Him. 34 And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.

If you were to read on…

You would discover Jesus feeding thousands of people with 5 loaves of bread and two fish…

THE PEOPLE ATE THE FISH…

If you read on…

42 So they all ate and were filled. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish.

It is RIGHT…

EAT THAT FISH…

In addition,

EAT THOSE VEGETABLES…

Lachanophobia… WHAT?!?!?!

Psalm 23

The Lord the Shepherd of His People

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Before I went on a run… may I share with you what I was reading???

I love WISDOM!!!

1 Kings 4:29-34

Solomon’s Wisdom

29 God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. 30 Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt. 31 He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite—wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. 32 He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five. 33 He spoke about plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also spoke about animals and birds, reptiles and fish. 34 From all nations people came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.

YOU KNOW, I AM READING TOMORROW… I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU IN PERSON; HOWEVER, IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT… HERE ARE HALF OF THE SCRIPTURES…

Isaiah 55:1-5

An Invitation to Abundant Life

55 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.
Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people,
A leader and commander for the people.
Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,
And nations who do not know you shall run to you,
Because of the Lord your God,
And the Holy One of Israel;
For He has glorified you.”

AS FOR ME… I AM THIRSTY AND HUNGRY…

I AM GONNA…

EAT THOSE VEGETABLES…
