An Ode to My Brilliant Love

In the quiet glow of morning light, your brilliance dawns—so fierce, so bright. A mind that dances, swift and free, turns simple words to poetry.

Your wisdom weaves the stars in place, each thought a world, a boundless space. I stand in awe, my heart alive, for in your depth, my dreams revive.

No ocean vast, no mountain high, could match the spark within your eyes. Your intellect, a flame untamed, your spirit—wild, yet soft, unchained.

If time should steal my fleeting breath, my love remains beyond mere death. Unyielding, constant, brave and true, forevermore, I stand with you.

Example Speech

Introduction: “Patience is not simply the ability to wait – it’s how we behave while we’re waiting.” – Joyce Meyer. Good evening, everyone. Today, I want to talk about a virtue that is often overlooked but incredibly powerful – patience. I remember a time when I was coordinating officer training for our clubs. There were numerous challenges, and it required a great deal of patience to ensure everything went smoothly.

Body: Patience is the ability to stay calm and composed in the face of delay, adversity, or frustration. It’s a quality that can transform our lives and relationships. The Bible teaches us in James 1:4, “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” This verse reminds us that patience is essential for personal growth.

So, how can we cultivate patience in our daily lives? Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Mindfulness and Meditation: Practicing mindfulness and meditation can help us stay present and reduce stress. It allows us to respond to situations with a calm mind.
  2. Setting Realistic Expectations: By setting realistic goals and expectations, we can avoid unnecessary frustration and disappointment.
  3. Positive Self-Talk: Engaging in positive self-talk and reframing negative thoughts can help us maintain a positive attitude.
  4. Taking Breaks: When feeling overwhelmed, taking breaks can help us regain composure and perspective.
  5. Empathy and Understanding: Practicing empathy and understanding towards others can help us be more patient in our interactions.

Conclusion: In conclusion, patience is a virtue that can lead to personal growth and improved relationships. I encourage all of you to practice patience in your daily lives. Remember, “Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” Thank you.

8/9/2024 – I really need to find a date… the problem is… I am shy around women… I have the opportunity to go2 a Penn State football game October 5 against UCLA… I will tailgate with Greg… SO FAR… I’M GOING ALONE.

THEN, WORK.

7/30/2024 – HEY… wanna learn HOW TO TURN BURNOUT INTO BRILLANCE???

(I’m presenting this at my Toastmaster’s Officer Training on August 10)

The text “LUKE 15:1-7” refers to the Parable of the Lost Sheep from the Bible. In this parable, Jesus tells the story of a shepherd who leaves his ninety-nine sheep to find the one that is lost. When he finds it, he rejoices more over that one sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

Significance of the Text

This parable highlights several important themes:

  1. Individual Worth: Every person is valuable and worthy of care and attention, no matter how lost or insignificant they may feel.
  2. Compassion and Mercy: It emphasizes the importance of showing compassion and mercy to those who have gone astray or are in need.
  3. Joy in Redemption: There is great joy in bringing someone back to the right path or helping them find their way.

Relating It to Your Life

You can relate this parable to your life in various ways:

  • Valuing Others: Recognize the worth of every individual in your life, whether they are close to you or not. Show kindness and understanding, especially to those who may feel lost or marginalized.
  • Offering Help: Be willing to go out of your way to help someone in need, just as the shepherd did. Your efforts can make a significant difference in someone’s life.
  • Finding Joy in Small Victories: Celebrate the small victories and positive changes in your life and the lives of others. These moments of redemption and growth are worth rejoicing over.

Reflecting on this parable can inspire you to be more compassionate and attentive to the needs of those around you.

The Toastmasters Journey

Emma had always been a bit nervous about public speaking. She knew it was an essential skill, especially for her career aspirations, but the thought of standing in front of a crowd made her palms sweat. One day, her friend Jake suggested she attend a Toastmasters meeting. “It’s a great way to improve your speaking skills and build leadership qualities,” he said.

Curious and a bit apprehensive, Emma decided to give it a try. She walked into the meeting room, greeted by friendly faces and a welcoming atmosphere. The meeting began with the President of the club, Sarah, who opened with a warm introduction and an inspiring quote about the power of communication.

As the meeting progressed, Emma observed various roles being played by the members. There was the Toastmaster of the Day, who smoothly guided the meeting, ensuring everything ran on time. The Table Topics Master challenged members with impromptu speaking exercises, encouraging quick thinking and creativity. The General Evaluator provided constructive feedback, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.

Emma was particularly impressed by the leadership roles within the club. She saw how the President led with confidence and empathy, ensuring everyone felt included and valued. The Vice President of Education worked diligently to help members set and achieve their personal goals. The Sergeant at Arms maintained order and logistics, ensuring the meeting environment was conducive to learning.

By the end of the meeting, Emma felt inspired. She realized that Toastmasters was not just about public speaking; it was a platform for developing a wide range of leadership skills. She saw how members learned to:

  1. Communicate Effectively: Through prepared speeches and impromptu speaking, members honed their ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
  2. Provide Constructive Feedback: Evaluating speeches helped members develop the skill of giving and receiving feedback, crucial for personal and professional growth.
  3. Lead with Confidence: Taking on various roles within the club allowed members to practice leadership in a supportive environment.
  4. Manage Time Efficiently: The structured nature of the meetings taught members the importance of time management and staying on schedule.
  5. Collaborate and Support: The sense of community fostered teamwork and mutual support, essential for any leadership role.

Emma decided to join the club, excited about the journey ahead. She knew that with each meeting, she would not only become a better speaker but also a more effective leader.

7/13/2024 – I AM ASKING TO WORK MORE.

YEAH!

6/14/2024 – I enjoy my mornings… I’ll wake up and view artwork that I created 3 years ago… (BEFORE, I DISCOVERED AN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TOOL THAT COULD INTERPRET TEXT IN A JPEG) This morning, here is the text that I prompted AI to interpret.

I THEN ASKED HOW DO WE APPLY THIS SCRIPTURE IN OUR DAILY LIVES.

Applying Psalm 52 to our lives today can be a powerful exercise in understanding the nature of evil and the steadfastness of God’s love. Here are some ways to bring the lessons of Psalm 52 into modern life:

  1. Seek Deliverance: When faced with evil or injustice, turn to God for deliverance. Just as David sought comfort in God’s faithfulness, we too can rely on God to deliver us from the evils we encounter1.
  2. Embrace Truth: In a world where deceit can seem prevalent, commit to praying for and speaking the truth. Let your words and actions be guided by honesty and integrity1.
  3. Show Love: In response to the hatred or evil around us, choose to show God’s love to others. This can be through acts of kindness, compassion, and understanding1.
  4. Practice Repentance: Recognize that we all fall short and need God’s grace. Regularly examine your own life and turn away from any wrongdoing, seeking to align more closely with God’s will1.
  5. Cultivate Courage: Like David, who trusted in God’s justice, find the courage to face evil without fear. Trust that God’s righteousness will prevail1.
  6. Grow in Trust: Picture yourself as an olive tree flourishing in God’s house, symbolizing peace and righteousness. Nurture your trust in God to find peace amidst chaos1.
  7. Praise Continuously: Despite the challenges and evils you may face, continue to praise God. Acknowledge His sovereignty and control over all things1.

By applying these principles, we can navigate the complexities of modern life with a foundation rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Psalms. It’s about transforming our perspective to see beyond immediate circumstances and to trust in the enduring love and justice of God

5/30/2024 – LIFE IS EXPENSIVE… HERE IS A SHORT STORY…

The Price of Dreams

In the heart of the bustling city, where skyscrapers kissed the sky and neon lights painted the streets, lived a young woman named Maya. She was a dreamer, her mind a canvas for grand visions and impossible aspirations. But dreams, as she soon discovered, came with a hefty price tag.

Maya’s days were a blur of deadlines, coffee runs, and crowded subway rides. She worked at a soulless corporate job, crunching numbers for a faceless conglomerate. Her paycheck barely covered rent for her tiny studio apartment, where the walls whispered stories of past tenants who had also chased dreams and lost.

One evening, as rain tapped against her window, Maya sat hunched over her laptop. She had a secret project—a novel that simmered in her soul like a forgotten recipe. But writing required time, and time was a luxury she couldn’t afford. Bills piled up like unpaid promises, and the landlord’s stern voice echoed in her dreams.

Her best friend, Jake, understood the struggle. He was an artist, his fingers stained with paint, and his heart etched with colors only he could see. They met at a dingy café, sharing stories of their ambitions. Jake’s canvases adorned gallery walls, but fame remained elusive. “Life’s a canvas,” he’d say, “and we’re all just brushstrokes.”

One day, Maya stumbled upon an old bookstore tucked away on a cobblestone street. Its sign read “The Curious Quill.” The air smelled of ancient parchment and forgotten tales. The shopkeeper, an elderly man with twinkling eyes, handed her a leather-bound journal. “Write your dreams,” he said, “and pay the price.”

Maya hesitated. The journal’s pages whispered secrets—of love, adventure, and magic. She opened it, and ink flowed from her pen like memories escaping their cages. Her novel took shape, characters dancing across the paper. But each word exacted a toll: a missed meal, a skipped subway fare, a borrowed sweater to keep warm.

As the novel grew, so did the cost. Maya sold her grandmother’s heirloom necklace, her childhood books, and even her winter coat. She wrote by candlelight, shivering in her threadbare sweater. The Curious Quill became her refuge, its shelves lined with forgotten dreams.

Jake noticed the change. “What price are you paying?” he asked, concern etching lines on his face. Maya showed him the journal, its pages filled with her heart’s desires. “It’s worth it,” she whispered. “My dreams are alive.”

But dreams, like hungry ghosts, demanded more. Maya’s health deteriorated, her laughter echoing through hospital corridors. The novel neared completion, its climax a crescendo of sacrifice. She wrote her final chapter, tears blurring the ink, and collapsed.

The Curious Quill awaited her. The shopkeeper smiled, revealing teeth as ancient as forgotten legends. “Your debt is paid,” he said. Maya’s novel lay on the counter, its words pulsing with life. She touched the cover, and the world blurred.

When she woke, she was back in her studio, the journal gone. Her novel was published, its pages in bookstores across the city. Critics praised her talent, but Maya knew the truth—the cost of dreams was etched into her bones.

She visited Jake’s gallery, where his paintings glowed like stained glass. His eyes met hers, and they understood. Dreams weren’t free; they were borrowed time, stolen warmth, and silent hunger. But they were also magic—the alchemy of longing and sacrifice.

Maya walked the city streets, her novel tucked under her arm. The rain had stopped, and neon lights flickered like forgotten wishes. She whispered to the wind, “Life is expensive, but dreams are priceless.”

And so, Maya paid the price, one word at a time, until her heart was a constellation of stories—a testament to the cost of living a life ablaze with dreams. 🌟📖✨

5/28/2024 – WORKING MORE…

WRITING LESS about me…

TO THAT, I SAY GOOD… CHECK OUT WHAT AI WROTE:

Here is a short story about Martin Luther’s famous response about planting an apple tree if the world were to end tomorrow:

The Reformer’s Tree

The year was 1537, and the looming threat of war hung like a dark cloud over Wittenberg. In those uncertain times, even the boldest of souls could be gripped by fear and despair at the thought of cities being razed and lives lost to the insatiable appetite of conflict.

Yet in the eye of this brewing storm stood Martin Luther, the renowned leader of the Protestant Reformation. His powerful doctrine had sparked a fire that was reshaping Christianity across Europe. But on this day, Luther’s mind was not consumed by thoughts of theological debates or ecclesial upheaval. A curious student had posed a humbling query: “If you knew the world were ending tomorrow, what would you do today?”

Luther paused, his eyes betraying a hint of bemusement at such an existential question. But then, his weathered face crinkled into a warm smile. With the simple wisdom of a man who had glimpsed the fragility of life, he gave a reply that would echo through the ages.

“If I knew the world were ending tomorrow,” Luther declared, “I would plant an apple tree today.”

His response hung in the air, seeding contemplation in the minds of all those present. In those nine words burned an inextinguishable flame of hope – a defiant conviction that even when staring into the abyss of oblivion, there remains purpose in acts of renewal and creation.

For what could be more life-affirming than nurturing a seed? Though the tree’s bounty might never grace Luther’s own table, its fruits would feed generations yet unborn. It was an offering of faith – a resilient belief that no matter how darkness loomed, the human spirit would persevere and flourish anew.

On that day, with a metaphorical seedling clutched to his breast, the Fra stood undiminished against the squalls of history. His apple tree would be planted, a living emblem that when doom’s icy clouds break, life’s warm sun still shines.

The text “LUKE 22:24-30” refers to a passage from the Bible, specifically the book of Luke, chapters 22, verses 24 to 30. In this passage, there is a dispute among Jesus’ disciples about who among them is considered the greatest. Jesus responds by teaching them that true greatness lies in serving others rather than seeking authority or power. He emphasizes humility and selflessness, saying that the greatest should be like the youngest and the one who rules should be like the one who serves. Jesus also promises a kingdom to those who stand by Him in trials, where they will eat and drink at His table and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel12. It’s a powerful message about leadership, humility, and the true meaning of greatness. 🙏✨

# Comprehensive Research Report on the Feasibility of a US Government Investment Agency

## Introduction

The United States government has been exploring various strategies to address its economic challenges, including the mounting national debt. One proposal under consideration is the creation of a new agency with the sole mission of investing money in a diversified portfolio, including investments in U.S. multinational corporations (MNCs), gold, silver, and other assets. The goal of this agency would be to generate interest income that could be used to reduce the national debt. This report synthesizes information from multiple sources to assess the feasibility and implications of such an initiative.

## Key Points

### Economic Impact of Public Investment

– The Biden administration’s economic strategy, known as Bidenomics, emphasizes the importance of public investments in infrastructure, semiconductors, and clean energy to stimulate private investment and support core U.S. economic and national security goals.

– Public investments can “crowd in” private investments by reducing production costs, providing tax credits, and addressing infrastructure and workforce challenges.

– The “Investing in America” agenda aims to reduce credit risks and attract private capital into clean energy and manufacturing markets, with the expectation of spurring trillions in private sector investment.

### National Debt and Investment Challenges

– The national debt poses significant challenges, including reduced public and private investment, fewer economic opportunities, and increased risk of a fiscal crisis.

– High debt-to-GDP ratios can lead to lower economic growth, higher taxes, and reduced funding for programs, which may also present investment opportunities in distressed markets.

### Precious Metals as Investment

– Predictions of a boom in gold and silver markets are driven by inflationary pressures, a devaluing U.S. dollar, and federal monetary policies.

– The demand for silver has reached an all-time high, and the gold-to-silver ratio can indicate when silver is undervalued, suggesting potential investment opportunities.

### Diversification in Investment

– Diversification is crucial for balancing growth and risk, achieved by spreading investments across various asset classes, industries, and regions.

– While diversification can mitigate investment risk and enhance risk-adjusted returns, it does not eliminate risk and can be complex and costly to manage effectively.

### Long-Term Budget Outlook and Debt Management

– The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects that debt held by the public will rise significantly over the next three decades, with federal spending outpacing revenues.

– High and rising debt could slow economic growth and elevate the risk of a fiscal crisis, making the nation’s fiscal position more vulnerable to interest rate increases.

– Sovereign debt management aims to meet government financing needs at the lowest possible cost with a prudent degree of risk, highlighting the importance of sound debt management practices.

## Analysis and Implications

The feasibility of creating a U.S. government agency dedicated to investing in a diversified portfolio to reduce the national debt hinges on several factors. The current economic policies under Bidenomics demonstrate a willingness to leverage public investment to stimulate private sector growth, which could be a supportive environment for such an agency. However, the challenges posed by the national debt, including the potential crowding out of private investment and the risk of a fiscal crisis, must be carefully considered.

Investing in precious metals like gold and silver could be a strategic component of the agency’s portfolio, especially given the predictions of market booms and the historical role of these assets as hedges against inflation and currency devaluation. Diversification would be a key strategy for the agency, aligning with best practices in investment management to balance growth and risk.

The long-term budget outlook and the importance of prudent debt management underscore the need for a careful approach to the creation and operation of such an agency. The agency would need to navigate the complexities of investment management, including the selection of assets, assessment of risk, and alignment with broader economic and fiscal policies.

## Conclusion

In conclusion, while the creation of a U.S. government investment agency to address the national debt through diversified investments appears feasible, it would require careful planning, robust risk management, and alignment with broader economic strategies. The potential benefits of such an agency must be weighed against the challenges of managing the national debt and the complexities of investment diversification. Further analysis and consultation with economic, fiscal, and investment experts would be necessary to develop a detailed plan for the agency’s establishment and operation.

You

Is it feasible for the US government to create a new agency whose sole mission is to invest money??? (HAVE A DIVERSIFIED PORTFOLIO… investing in US MNCs, GOLD, SILVER etc.) We can use the interest earned to start chipping away at our debt.ChatGPT

ChatGPT

Creating a government agency with the sole mission of investing money in a diversified portfolio, including investments in US multinational corporations, gold, silver, and other assets, is theoretically feasible. However, there are several considerations and challenges associated with such an idea:

  1. Risk and Volatility: Investments in financial markets, including stocks and commodities, come with inherent risks and volatility. The value of the portfolio can fluctuate based on market conditions, potentially leading to both gains and losses.
  2. Expertise and Management: Managing a diversified investment portfolio requires expertise in finance, economics, and investment strategies. The government would need to hire or consult with skilled professionals to make informed decisions and optimize returns.
  3. Government Intervention Concerns: There may be concerns about government intervention in the private sector, especially when it comes to investing in specific companies. It could raise questions about the government’s role in influencing market dynamics and competition.
  4. Political Influence: Decisions on where to invest could be influenced by political considerations, leading to potential conflicts of interest or inefficient allocation of resources.
  5. Market Distortion: Large-scale government investment in financial markets might distort normal market forces and impact the behavior of private investors.
  6. Legal and Regulatory Issues: Establishing such an agency would require careful consideration of legal and regulatory frameworks. There could be debates about the appropriateness and legality of government involvement in financial markets.
  7. Opportunity Cost: The funds used for investments might be allocated elsewhere, such as funding public services, infrastructure, or social programs. There is an opportunity cost associated with allocating resources to an investment agency instead of other critical government priorities.
  8. Public Perception: The public’s perception of government involvement in financial markets can vary. Some may see it as a way to generate revenue and address national debt, while others may view it as inappropriate government intervention.

While the idea of using investments to generate returns for debt reduction is interesting, implementing such a strategy would require careful planning, oversight, and consideration of potential consequences. It’s essential to weigh the benefits against the risks and challenges associated with government involvement in financial markets.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of all mercy and the God of all consolation.  He comforts us in all our sorrows so that we can comfort others in their sorrows with the consolation we ourselves have received from God.

HERE ARE SOME WORDS OF JESUS…

MATTHEW 11:25-30

25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

LET US PRAY…

O God our Father, your beloved Son took children into his arms and blessed them.  Give us grace, we pray, that we may entrust Robert Boice to your never-failing care and love, and bring us all to your heavenly kingdom; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

7/25/2023 – OK… Student Loans Suck… Mine are beginning to come out of FORBEARANCE and are now due…

HENCE, I mail my payment in… On July 12, 2023 Richard at AES (Employee #624124) informed me of what I owe for August and any interest payments that I had to make to make my account current. I wrote and mailed this…

I recently was rejected from an appeal to the Commonwealth Court concerning my employment with the Commonwealth. I understand the technicalities that the court used for its decision…

THE PRAYER IS AS FOLLOWS:

“Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow-citizens of the United States at large. And finally, that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

BEAUTIFUL HUH???

5/1/2023 – 23 YEARS AGO… TO THE DAY… (let’s apply for that job at HCW)

YOU KNOW… I am applying for that job at Hershey’s Chocolate World…

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

Michael Jordan

4/21/2023 – I won’t have the time to Journal this weekend because…

Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.

Rumi

HIGH FIVE!!!

4/20/2023 –

Today, as I was reflecting on the mission of do-n-good.com and the work we do to create positive change in the world, I was reminded of a quote by Maya Angelou: “I have great respect for the past. If you don’t know where you’ve come from, you don’t know where you’re going. I have respect for the past, but I’m a person of the moment. I’m here, and I do my best to be completely centered at the place I’m at, then I go forward to the next place.”

This quote really resonates with me as I think about the importance of understanding and learning from the past in order to create a better future. Our work at do-n-good.com is rooted in a deep appreciation for the history of social justice movements and the progress that has been made over time. We recognize that we are standing on the shoulders of those who came before us, and we strive to honor their legacies by continuing to fight for justice and equality.

At the same time, I am reminded that it is important to stay focused on the present moment and the work that needs to be done right now. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges we face and the long road ahead, but by staying centered and present, we can make progress one step at a time.

As I move forward with my work at do-n-good.com, I will strive to maintain this balance between honoring the past and staying present in the moment. I will continue to learn from those who have come before me, while also doing my best to make a positive impact in the world today.

4/18/2023 – I am giving a speech on Thursday at my Toastmasters club…

HERE, IT IS…

“Good evening everyone,

We all have desires in life. These are the things that we yearn for, dream about, and hope to achieve. But it’s not enough to simply desire something. If we want to achieve success, we need to be motivated to take action and pursue our goals with determination and perseverance.

The great American writer Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” In other words, we have the power to shape our own destiny. It all starts with a desire, a dream, a goal. But how do we turn that desire into reality? The answer is motivation.

Desire is the key to motivation. It’s what sparks that initial flame within us, the passion that drives us to take action. Without desire, we would have no reason to pursue our goals. But desire alone is not enough. We need to be motivated to keep going when the going gets tough. We need to be willing to put in the hard work, the long hours, and the sacrifice that success requires.

It’s the unrelenting pursuit of our goals that will allow us to obtain the success we seek. We need to be persistent, focused, and determined to overcome the obstacles and challenges that we will inevitably face along the way. We need to be willing to fail, learn from our mistakes, and keep pushing forward.

The journey to success is not an easy one. It requires sacrifice, hard work, and dedication. But it’s also a journey that is filled with reward and fulfillment. The satisfaction that comes from achieving our goals is immeasurable. It’s what gives our lives purpose and meaning.

So, how do we cultivate this unrelenting pursuit of our goals? The answer is discipline. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment. We need to develop the habit of taking action every day towards our goals, even when we don’t feel like it. We need to be consistent and persistent, even when we face setbacks and obstacles.

But discipline alone is not enough. We also need to have a growth mindset. We need to embrace challenges, learn from our failures, and believe that we can improve and grow with effort and practice. We need to be open to feedback, willing to take risks, and always looking for ways to improve.

In conclusion, desire is the key to motivation, but it’s the unrelenting pursuit of our goals that will allow us to obtain the success we seek. We need to be disciplined, persistent, and have a growth mindset if we want to achieve our goals and fulfill our desires. So, let’s embrace our passions, take action, and pursue our goals with unrelenting determination. The journey may not be easy, but the reward is worth it. Thank you.”
