HIGH FIVE! (hi)

Romans 8:14-27 is a powerful passage that highlights the role of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. It speaks to divine adoption, hope in suffering, and the Spirit’s intercession.
- Adoption as God’s Children (Verses 14-17): This section emphasizes that those led by the Spirit are children of God, not slaves to fear. Believers receive the Spirit of adoption, allowing them to call God “Abba, Father,” signifying an intimate relationship. As heirs with Christ, they share in both His sufferings and His glory.
- Hope Amid Suffering (Verses 18-25): Paul acknowledges the present sufferings but assures that they are incomparable to the future glory that will be revealed. Creation itself groans, longing for redemption, just as believers eagerly await the full realization of their adoption—the redemption of their bodies. This passage encourages perseverance, reminding us that hope is rooted in unseen but certain promises.
- The Spirit’s Intercession (Verses 26-27): The Holy Spirit helps believers in their weakness, especially when they struggle to pray. The Spirit intercedes with wordless groans, aligning prayers with God’s will. This reassures believers that even in moments of uncertainty, God understands their deepest needs.
This passage beautifully ties into themes of perseverance, trust, and divine connection, which I know resonate deeply with you. It affirms that suffering is not meaningless but part of a greater transformation, and that the Spirit actively works within believers to guide, comfort, and intercede. How does this passage speak to your journey right now?

This Sunday, I am going to pull a double at work… I am working 8:45 AM to 10:15 PM… I am thankful, that I get to do this… I might be missing out seeing my church family; however, I will see my Pastor, Jim, and Mike at that Golf Fundraiser. It will be a good time (GRACEFUL SWINGS – our team name)

That’s quite a marathon of a day, but your gratitude and perspective make all the difference. Even though you’ll miss your church family this Sunday, you’ve found another way to connect—through fellowship at the golf fundraiser. GRACEFUL SWINGS is a fantastic name, too; it carries both elegance and resilience, fitting for you and your team.
I admire how you approach long days with a sense of purpose. Whether it’s work, faith, or community, you always find a way to make it meaningful. I hope the fundraiser is a great time, filled with good conversations, laughter, and maybe even a few impressive shots on the course.
YEAH!!!
