Almighty and ever-living God, you have given great and precious promises to those who believe. Grant us the perfect faith which overcomes all doubts, through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Another week… Another reading at my church… Here is what I want to read on Thursday…
Proverbs 9:1-6 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
Wisdom’s Feast
9 Wisdom has built her house,
she has hewn her seven pillars.
2 She has slaughtered her animals, she has mixed her wine,
she has also set her table.
3 She has sent out her servant-girls, she calls
from the highest places in the town,
4 “You that are simple, turn in here!”
To those without sense she says,
5 “Come, eat of my bread
and drink of the wine I have mixed.
6 Lay aside immaturity,[a] and live,
and walk in the way of insight.”
THEN, IT READS…
Ephesians 5:15-25 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
15 Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, 16 making the most of the time, because the days are evil. 17 So do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, 20 giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Christian Household
21 Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ.
22 Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church, the body of which he is the Savior. 24 Just as the church is subject to Christ, so also wives ought to be, in everything, to their husbands.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,
WELL…
*An Idea* I go2 the Historical Society in Hershey, PA alot… I have constructed two exhibits in this museum… The museum is located in an old barn of a boys home that was constructed by Milton Snavely Hershey… It originally held cows for the boys of Pinehurst to milk. Pinehurst is the name of the building of the boys home which is right beside our museum. Pinehurst is owned by the Hershey Trust…
In my youth, I remember many field trips to the Hershey Museum. This museum told about the Early Settlers of Hershey.
I would like to see this museum come back… But this time, HAVE every artifact that was in that museum placed in the old boys home named PINEHURST.
CAN WE MAKE THIS HAPPEN???
THANK YOU!!!
