Week of Second Sunday After The Epiphany… 1/15/2017 *push*

WISE MEN SEEK THE LORD… *push*

Lord God, you showed your glory and led many to faith by the works of your Son.  As he brought gladness and healing to his people, grant us these same gifts and lead us also to perfect faith in him, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wise men seek the Lord…

I had an AWESOME time at church today… So AWESOME, that I am moved to switch up my tradition of writing on The Week of The Second Sunday After The Epiphany on Tuesday; to sharing with you the Holy Gospel Today (Sunday)… I also received a house blessing; however, I am going to put it in my car since I am on the move a lot… I think God understands. 🙂

car-blessing

20 + C + M + B + 17: Bless your home (in my case… my car)! Our homes are places of rest, places of hospitality, places of refreshment and love. At the beginning of each year Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Hershey encourages everyone to pray for God’s blessing on their homes. I want to share this information and blessing to my friends and family.

The glorious Feast of the Epiphany celebrates the coming of the wise men to the home of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. The blessing of homes around the time of this feast, at the beginning of the new year, expresses the blessing of Christ born for us, and loving us wherever we are, and especially blessing our homes.

ONTO THE HOLY GOSPEL…

The scriptures I would like to share with you are written in the New Testament of our Holy Bible

John 1:29-41

The Lamb of God

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

The First Disciples

35 Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. 36 And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”

37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38 Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?”

They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”

39 He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).

40 One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

AWESOME… just AWESOME…

Wise men seek the Lord…

How excited Andrew must have been.  He found what he was seeking!

THANK YOU GOD FOR WISDOM!!!

1/10/2017 – MY HOLY UNDERWEAR…

Today was cool… My church decided to help out a family in need in the community… We cleaned furniture that was taken out of the family’s home.  The home is to get new paint and new carpeting from our church.  This morning, I was seeking rags to use to help clean that furniture with… I WANTED TO USE SOME OLD BOXER SHORTS OF MINE THAT HAD A HOLE IN THEM… My Mom wouldn’t let me use my underwear…

MOM: No-one wants to see your underwear…

ME: YES… BUT, IT’S MY HOLY UNDERWEAR…

Needless to say, I didn’t bring ’em…

May I share with you what I was silently reading this morning?

(MATTHEW 13:24-30)

THAT PARABLE IN MATTHEW IS AWESOME…

Be a good example to those that do not believe in the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ…

HOPEFULLY, they will understand Jesus’s love for us…  TILL THEN… I AM GOING TO READ THAT PSALM. 🙂

Week of Fifteenth Sunday After Pentecost… 8/28/2016

STANDING (push)

O God, we thank you for your Son who chose the path of suffering for the sake of the world.  Humble us by his example, point us to the path of obedience, and give us strength to follow his commands; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

STANDING

The end of the year recap is going to be crazy.  If you are keeping up with the news (whether it be local or international) you see all the hurt, anguish, trials, and tribulations that individuals of humanity are experiencing… (Roanoke, VA)

When these trials come into your life… my advice is to STAND… STAND IN FAITH… Trust that the Lord will supply you with everything you need to live an awesome Christian Life…

I want to share with you two scriptures that I came across today…

*IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS PICTURE VIA MOBILE PHONE… CLICK “REPLAY” UNTIL IT GOES AWAY…

The first scripture is from the book of Jeremiah found in our Holy Bible.  IT READS…

Jeremiah 15:15-21

15 O Lord, you know;
remember me and visit me,
and bring down retribution for me on my persecutors.
In your forbearance do not take me away;
know that on your account I suffer insult.
16 Your words were found, and I ate them,
and your words became to me a joy
and the delight of my heart;
for I am called by your name,
O Lord, God of hosts.
17 I did not sit in the company of merrymakers,
nor did I rejoice;
under the weight of your hand I sat alone,
for you had filled me with indignation.
18 Why is my pain unceasing,
my wound incurable,
refusing to be healed?
Truly, you are to me like a deceitful brook,
like waters that fail.

19 Therefore thus says the Lord:
If you turn back, I will take you back,
and you shall stand before me.
If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless,
you shall serve as my mouth.
It is they who will turn to you,
not you who will turn to them.
20 And I will make you to this people
a fortified wall of bronze;
they will fight against you,
but they shall not prevail over you,
for I am with you
to save you and deliver you,
says the Lord.
21 I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked,
and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.

AWESOME huh?  This scripture mirrored with the other scripture found in 1 John 1:1-3 referenced below the Omega tattoo, makes me want to STAND IN FAITH…  Jeremiah prophesied that the Lord is with you and will save, deliver, and redeem you.  In the 19th verse of Jeremiah the Lord says… If you utter what is precious you shall serve as my mouth.  What is more precious than the gift of eternal life uttering scripture from the Holy Bible???

1 John 1:1-3 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

The Word of Life

We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— this life was revealed, and we have seen it and testify to it, and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us— we declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

I, personally, had a problem understanding some of these scriptures and felt p+ssed off for my lack. I PRAYED, AND PRAYED, AND PRAYED… In a twinkle of an eye 🙂 it came to me… FAITH… STAND IN IT.

LET’S READ (psalm 26)

8/24/2016… Found a really cool book at the library today… GOOD READ

THANK YOU GOD FOR TODAY!

I want to share with you a conversation I had with my Pastor Thursday (8/25/2016) at church…

Me: I will take the blame for the air conditioning at church not working.
Pastor: WHY???
Me: IT’S THAT AIR CONDITIONING MONKEY… I MUST HAVE BROUGHT IT WITH ME… WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING SINCE TUESDAY AT MY MOM’s.

LESSON: You might be uncomfortable praising God; however, it is wise to JUST DO IT!

THANK YOU GOD FOR YESTERDAY!

I am really amazed… what are the chances??? On Friday 8/26/2016, I put in a request  for a music artist to be played on the radio by the RIVER 97.3… Wouldn’t you know it, on my way to work they played a song by them (PEARL JAM) and said my name.  This made me have tears of joy because on my request (facebook) I thanked God for yesterday… I thanked God for today… & I thanked God for tomorrow.

THANK YOU GOD FOR TOMORROW!

LET’s GO2 CHURCH.
