Feeding the Five Thousand

10 On their return the apostles told Jesus[a] all they had done. He took them with him and withdrew privately to a city called Bethsaida. 11 When the crowds found out about it, they followed him; and he welcomed them, and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed to be cured.

12 The day was drawing to a close, and the twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside, to lodge and get provisions; for we are here in a deserted place.” 13 But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.” 14 For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, “Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” 15 They did so and made them all sit down. 16 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. 17 And all ate and were filled. What was left over was gathered up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.

I HAVE BEEN APPLYING FOR JOBS WITH MY STATE… i got scores of 97, 89, & 83… THAT LAST SCORE AT FIRST WAS BELOW A 70… i contested that score… THE GOVERNMENT THEN SCORED ME AN 83… yeah… i think it is still wrong…

(Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) 23 And they came to the Wadi Eshcol, and cut down from there a branch with a single cluster of grapes, and they carried it on a pole between two of them. They also brought some pomegranates and figs. 24 That place was called the Wadi Eshcol,[a] because of the cluster that the Israelites cut down from there.

Prayer for Wisdom and Forgiveness

1 I said, “I will guard my ways
    that I may not sin with my tongue;
I will keep a muzzle on my mouth
    as long as the wicked are in my presence.”
2 I was silent and still;
    I held my peace to no avail;
my distress grew worse,
3     my heart became hot within me.
While I mused, the fire burned;
    then I spoke with my tongue:

4 “Lord, let me know my end,
    and what is the measure of my days;
    let me know how fleeting my life is.
5 You have made my days a few handbreadths,

A Psalm of David, for the memorial offering.

1 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger,
    or discipline me in your wrath.
2 For your arrows have sunk into me,
    and your hand has come down on me.

3 There is no soundness in my flesh
    because of your indignation;
there is no health in my bones
    because of my sin.
